RED BASE KD (DB-40), chemically named 3-amino-4-methoxybenzoyltianiline, is a white to slightly yellow crystalline powder with a molecular formula of C₁₄H₁₄N₂O₂ and a melting point of approximately 120-125°C. It is soluble in organic solvents such as ethanol and acetone, slightly soluble in water, and exhibits good chemical stability at room temperature. Synthesized from 3-nitro-4-methoxybenzoic acid via condensation with aniline followed by reduction, it is primarily used in the production of high-performance azo dyes. The product should be stored away from light and moisture, with a guaranteed purity of ≥98%.

Red Base KD is a high-performance dye intermediate widely used in the textile and chemical industries. Specially formulated for dyeing and printing applications, it delivers vibrant and durable coloration on cotton, viscose (rayon), and linen (flax) fibers.
